Manpower Allocation of Work Activities for Producing Precast Components: Empirical Study in Taiwan

The production of precast components in the construction industry is a labor-intensive process. objectives this study are to prove feasibility using rough set theory classify and weigh impact attributes, develop model assess total quantities labor needed for structural elements enhanced K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN). Three main building (beams, girders, columns) were collected from Taiwan. After trimming analyzing basic data, approach used weight attributes into three levels based on their frequency. A KNN accordingly developed, yielding an accuracy rate 92.36%, which 8.09% higher than result obtained when algorithm. practical effective prediction would assist managers estimate manpower requirement projects.
